Welcome to the Casper Chamber Music Society's 2009-10 Season!
The Casper Chamber Music Society has been presenting fine chamber music to Casper audiences for over 25 years.
This year, we offer a mix of famililar favorites and new groups which we are sure will be a favorite of yours in the future. As is our tradition, we start the season with Oktoberfest, held at the Izaak Walton Clubhouse on September 27 at 4:00 PM. You may use your season ticket for a day of authentic German food and music, once again provided by Rainer Schwarzkopf. If you don't have your season ticket when you get to the door, don't worry: you can get one at the door!
Our "indoor" concerts start on October 18, and once again we return to the beautiful Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church. The first concert features the Wyoming Symphony Wind Quintet, an ensemble consisting of members of the Wyoming Symphony. On November 8, long time local favorite Lisa Rich will treat us to a concert of vocal music. Our last concert of 2009 will give you an uplifting start to the holiday season, as Fisch Stew gives us a glimpse of the holidays from many perspectives.
On Valentines Day, you'll love hearing the Equinox Trio. The Equinox has long been one of the area's most popular chamber ensembles and returns this season on a special Valentine's Day concert.
The collaboration with the MENC chapter of Casper College continues this season with a March 21 concert, also featuring the winners of the chamber music competition.
Susan Stubson and Katherine Viscardi join together on April 25 for a concert co-sponsored with ARTCORE. Note that this concert will take place at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
The season concludes on May 16 when Rick Rognstad returns.
